Performing a Restore
Please select the Online Backup product you have to see specific instructions for that system.
Once you open the Online Backup Program, you can either create a Trial Account or Login with your account details.
1 - Please click Login

2 - You will be presented with the Login Page

3 - Enter your Username and Password (Please Note, both the Username and Password are Case Sensitive)

4 - Once Logged In, click Restore

5 - Select the Backup set you wish to restore from

6 - Select the the Backup set location. There will only be one option to select; Online Backup Destination

7 - Select what to restore. You can select Choose from files as of job if more than one backup has been completed in this set. By default it will select the latest version. If only one backup has been completed, you can ignore this section

8 - Select which files to restore in the explorer tree window. You can select an individual file, folder or all files/folders. You can also search for files by clicking on Search at the bottom

9 - Click Next to proceed

10 - Select where you would like the file to be restored. You can select Original location or Alternate location. When selecting Alternate location you will need to specify a location by clicking Browse

11 - Click Next

12 - On the next screen you can leave the Temporary Directory as default and press Restore

13 - You will now see the Restore progress screen. This will show the progress of the restore. It may take some time to complete based on the amount of data being restored and the speed of your local internet connection

14 - When it has completed, the status will show Completed

15 - Click Close to complete the restore job.

16 - You will then be taken back to the Select your files… screen in case you wish to restore more files. If you do, go back to step 8, otherwise click Cancel to go back to the main menu

There is also a service that allows you to download a restore-only service in case you want to quickly perform a restore. Instructions on how to use this service are below.
1 - Install on the local machine on which the backup software will be backing up. Run the following file with administrator rights:

3 - Select I accept the agreement and click Next
4 - Click Install on the next screen

5 - You will be presented with a screen that will show download status followed by install status


6 - Eventually when it has finished, you will automatically be taken to the Online Backup OBM main screen. If you have an account, click Login, otherwise click Free Trial and fill in your details

7 - Once the software has been accessed, you will be presented with a list of all Backup Sets that have been previously created that can be restored. You may be prompted to enter the Encryption Key of the Backup Sets before being allowed to continue. Simply enter the Encryption Key and click OK

8 - You can now select which Backup Set you want to restore from by clicking on the relevant Backup Set

9 - The next screen will be the Backup Destination screen. There will only be one entry, so click on Online Backup Destination

10 - You will then be shown the contents of the Backup Set. This could be files to restore or a database or Exchange email data. For the purposes of this guide, it will be a File Restore

11 - Once you have selected what you wish to restore, click on Next

12 - Now select where you want the restored file or database to be located. You can either choose Original location or Alternate location which you would then need to specify

13 - Click Restore on the next screen to start the restore process

14 - The restore progress screen will be shown

15 - Once the restore process has completed, click on Close to return to the Select files to restore… screen. If you have no further restores to action, click Cancel and then Yes to exit the application. If you wish to retore more, click Previous to return back through to the Backup Set selection screen
