Remote Desktop Connection Settings
These are all instructions on changing settings on your local Remote Desktop Connection software
Windows
This guide was done on Windows 8.1. The guide will apply to Windows 7 and Windows 10 as well
1 - In the Start Screen search for mstsc. If using Windows 7 or Windows 10 put mstsc in the search box in the start menu and then Select Remote Desktop Connection.

2 - Click on Show Options
3 - Select Save As…
4 - Give it a suitable location in my case selected Desktop. Give it a name and then click Save

2 - Click Show Options

3 - Go to the Display tab

4 - You have a slider you can keep it Full Screen and runs at native resolution or you can run it windowed, in a smaller resolution

5 - Go back to the General tab and Save the settings. Then close or Connect

4 - Tick Use all my monitors for the remote session

5 - Go back to General followed by Save and then close

5 - Tick the drives you wanting redirecting. If you use any smart cards (which some banks use), ensure this is ticked as well

6 - Click on General tab then Save then Close

6 - Go back to General and then Save then Close

5 - The Settings displayed is most ideal but if you don’t rely on audio you can select Do not play followed by OK

1 - On your local machine’s desktop you may have an icon

2 - Right click on your RDP icon - you may have it named Hosted or Hosted Desktop. Then click Edit

3 - Click on Delete

5 - Then click Connect

Using Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection
1 - Within Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection select your Hosted Desktop connection by clicking on it
2 - Click on the + button
3 - In the Add Local Folder window enter the following information:
4 - Click the Close button to save the remote desktop
2 - Click on the + button
3 - In the Add Local Folder window enter the following information:
- Name: Set a name for the folder to be available during the remote session
- Path: Select the path to the folder to be available during the remote session
